This pretty runner did so great at her first fun run! I took her to the Black Light run where they throw glow in the dark powder on you as you run by. She showed true patience as we stood there for over an hour waiting for our wave to go. We were with some friends so that helped! Under the circumstances - waiting forever, wind and dust in our faces, threats of rain, way past bedtime, strangers trampling through and almost over us - the kids were awesome! Being that we had to carry them a few times and the whining started to set in, we decided to cut several corners and end early. In the end they all had fun but were a bit discouraged that they weren't more colorful. I agree. The next run we do will have to be in the day time so we have a better chance of finishing!
